Grasshopper Fire — Hood River, Wasco, and Clackamas Counties
The 93,841-acre Grasshopper Fire burning in the Mt. Hood National Forest continues to drive evacuation orders across three counties. The 155,491-acre Sinlahekin Fire northwest of Tonasket has triggered Level 3 Go Now evacuation orders covering areas west of the Okanogan River north toward Oroville. The fire has shown extreme behavior including crown runs, long-range spotting, and uphill runs over the past 72 hours. Multiple road and trail closures are in effect. Residents in the Sinlahekin Valley and surrounding areas should not return until orders are officially lifted.
Grand Park 2 and Three Queens Fires — Near Mount Rainier
Fires burning near Mount Rainier National Park and Snoqualmie Pass have prompted evacuations due to threats to residences and critical energy infrastructure. Active group torching and short-range spotting have been observed. Residents in affected Cascade foothills communities should monitor Pierce and King County emergency management alerts.
Idaho Evacuations
Wildhorse Fire — Lincoln and Blaine Counties
The 50,000-acre Wildhorse Fire, which crossed Highway 26 north of Kimama, has placed Lincoln and Blaine County residents under Level 2 Be Set evacuation status. Flint Fire — Owyhee County
Owyhee County officials have expanded evacuation orders due to the Flint Fire burning 45 miles southwest of Nampa. Silver City is currently under a Level 2 Be Set evacuation notice.
