Active Fire Behavior

Fire crews from the Northwest Interagency Coordination Center (NWCC) report the Sinlahekin Fire has been exhibiting active fire behavior characterized by wind-driven runs, torching, and smoldering in heavy fuel loads. The fire is burning through a combination of grass, hardwood litter, and timber in the rugged terrain west of Tonasket.
